I've been playing the original game for a bit now, and while it is rough, I can see where it got it's accolades. The sequel, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, is looking to pull a Mass Effect 2 and refine the entire experience while keeping the same story. The trailers definitely make it look that way.
